The short version: Kythli Me is free for one person. Kythli Family adds your household for $5.99/mo or $59.99/yr, cancel anytime. Everything you put in Kythli is yours. Because your content is encrypted end-to-end, keeping your password, second factor, and backup available is genuinely your job — we hold no readable copy to give back.
Kythli is a private household organizer: the app on your devices, plus the account, sync, recovery, and billing services behind it, provided by Kythli LLC, a Connecticut company. Kythli Me (free) is the full app for one person. Kythli Family (paid) adds household sharing — the same focuses on every member's phone, with roles controlling what each member sees.
Keep your sign-in credentials accurate and safe — your account is the key to your household. Household owners decide who joins and what role they hold; invite people you trust, because members see whatever their role permits. You're responsible for activity under your account.
It's yours. We claim no ownership of anything you put in Kythli, and no license beyond the minimum needed to operate the service — moving and briefly storing encrypted payloads so your household stays in sync, and releasing your recovery key to you when you prove it's you. What we do and don't do with data is the Privacy Policy; it's part of these terms.
Kythli encrypts your content end-to-end. That privacy has a flip side, and we'd rather say it here than surprise you: if you lose your password, your second factor, and your backup, your content is unrecoverable — by design, we hold no readable copy. Keep your second factor's backup codes somewhere safe, and leave backups on unless you've thought hard about it.
Use Kythli lawfully and honestly: don't use it to harm others, don't probe or break its security or encryption, don't resell it, and don't circumvent household seat limits. We build no content-scanning into a product we can't read — so we rely on this clause, and on suspending accounts that abuse the service itself (with notice, where practical).
You can export everything and delete your account at any time, from the app. What deletion destroys — and what remains yours on your own devices and in your own backup — is spelled out in the Privacy Policy.
Kythli will evolve — features will be added, changed, and occasionally retired. We work to keep the service available and your data portable, but we can't promise uninterrupted service.
Kythli is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability the law says can't be limited. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so plainly on this page and, for significant changes, by email — never by silently editing.
